GALL BLADDER INFECTION - BACTERIA GROWING IN THE GALL BLADDER

It is even worse if the gallbladder becomes inflamed. If bacteria travel from the intestine into the gall bladder, which can always  happen, and then get stuck in the bile duct, they can rapidly multiply and cause a gall bladder infection. Severe pain, fever and chills, nausea, constipation and other symptoms of the abdominal area are the result.  At this stage only surgery can help. the obstructing stones will be removed from the bile duct. Unfortunately they can always come back to the gallbladder, if a stone starts travelling again. The other alternative is to remove the gall bladder, which in some cases, will be essential. After that, the bile is not metered anymore,  but simply flows into the intestine. The gall bladder and the dosage of bile are useful. They are not like a useless appendix. Their removal is not necessarily desirable.
